Ray Pike, Jr.

Ray Pike Jr., 75, of Randolph MA passed away peacefully at Tufts Medical Center, Boston in the company of his loving sons on June 21st 2020. Born in Boston on October 1, 1944 to the late Raymond C. Pike Sr. and Lorraine (Doyle) Pike. Proud to be born and raised in Boston, Ray graduated from Boston Schools in 1962 and enlisted in the United States Navy.
Following his service in the Navy, Ray, a Vietnam Veteran, continued to serve his country in the Naval Reserve, Army Reserves and Army National Guard. Ray was a proficient welder and truck driver and a long time member of Teamster’s Local 25, along with being a life member of the Teamster Horsemen. He was also a proud member of Amvets Post 51 in Randolph. His accounts of his many life experiences & adventures and larger than life personality won the hearts of his many friends.
He was also a very generous man, giving of himself and supporting many charities in addition to the good works he did to help so many in his life, so much of it without accolades and often unknown to anyone but himself and those he helped.
Ray will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
He was the proud father of Raymond Pike III and wife Marsha of Randolph, Daniel Pike and wife Cheri of Randolph, Brighid (Pike) Whalen and husband T.J. of Braintree, and Brendan Pike and wife Niccole of Taunton. Ray is preceded in death by his sister Lorraine Pike and is survived by sister Candice (Pike) DiMaso, grandchildren Felyshia, Christopher, Reese and Nora, 4 great grandchildren as well as 12 nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Randolph.
Friends and family are welcome to honor and remember Ray at his Celebration of Life at the Whitman VFW, 95 Essex St. , Whitman, MA, with date and time to be announced.
Ray will be laid to rest at Bourne National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Amvets Post 51, Randolph, MA or the Veterans Brotherhood, a Veteran MC he actively supported.
