Roland Kittredge

January 21, 1942 — December 25, 2021

Plymouth

Roland Carlton Kittredge, 79, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021.

Roland was born on January 21, 1942. He grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School in 1960. In 1979 he met Kathy; they wed in 1983 and had two children, Lisa and Bryan.

After retiring in 2019, working over twenty years for the Boston Globe, Roland spent most of his time with family, friends and walking the family dog Layla.

As an avid Elvis fan you could always count on hearing him sing along to his favorites coming up the driveway. He even made the trip to Graceland twice.

As a longtime sports fan, he loved the Dodgers, Cowboys and Red Sox. Roland’s true passion was candlepin bowling. He bowled for more than fifty years in various leagues with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the years bowling on teams with his wife, daughter and son at the Alley Kat lane.

A loving Father, Husband and Grampy, family meant more to him than anything else in the world.

Roland is survived by his wife of 38 years Kathy Kittredge, daughter Lisa Cook, son Bryan Kittredge, Son in law Steven Cook and grandsons Chris, Landen and Hunter Cook.

A celebration of Life will be held in his honor instead of tradition funeral services. We ask that all of Roland’s loved ones join us in celebrating his beautiful life at the Alley Kat lane, 7 Tarklin Rd. Kingston, MA. On Sunday, January 9 th, 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
