Obituary

Sally Ann (Rupert) Seppala, of Weymouth, MA

Sally passed on January 18, 2023 at 6:25pm surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband Peter A. Seppala, Sr. of Weymouth, MA; her three children: Charles P. Seppala of Rochester, NH; Donna (Seppala) Moriarty and her partner Ronald J. Babineau Jr. of Royalston, MA; and Ann (Seppala) Cameron of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Sally was also a stepmother to Peter Albert Seppala, Jr of Abington, MA; Michael Ian Seppala of Bradenton, FL; and Charles Edward Seppala of Weymouth, MA.

Sally was born August 29, 1952 in Grand Rapids, MN to the late Elmer and Hollis (Inglebret) Rupert. Sally is survived by her sisters Rita (Rupert) Skyberg and her late husband Harvey of Bovey, MN; Betty (Rupert) Stupar of Grand Rapids, MN; Sheila “Happie” (Rupert) Bergquist and her husband Michael of Princeton, MN; and her brothers Rodney Aultman and wife Therese (Mertes) of Cohasset, MN; and Elmer Lee Rupert of Hibbing, MN. Sally was predeceased by her stepmother Dona Faye (Carter) Rupert of Grand Rapids, MN; her brother Donald E. Rupert of Grand Rapids, MN; her brother Thomas Lionel Aultman of Grand Rapids, MN; her sister Rose Ann (Rupert) Damjanovich of Remer, MN; and her grandson Jayson Matthew Cameron of Somerville, MA.

Sally was formerly of Quincy, MA, where she raised her 3 children before moving to Weymouth. She worked as a lunch matron at Snug Harbor Elementary School for many years and then became a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer and delivering meals to her clients.

Sally will be dearly missed by all, but will especially be missed by her grandchildren: Sean, Charles Jr., David, Matthew, Emily, Peter, Joshua, Katie, Taylor, Savannah, Damien, Brandon, Joey, and Dakota. In total, Sally had 29 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Sally loved spending time with her grandchildren and being out and about with each of her children. She loved going apple picking and going to Revere Beach to see the sand castles every year and being taken on random adventures. One of her biggest adventures was when she traveled cross country by train with her husband. Her biggest joy was attending birthday parties, spending holidays, and attending other events for her grandchildren. Sally's greatest pride was watching and attending high school graduations for her grandchildren Peter, Joshua, Katie, Brandon, and Charles Jr.

Sally requested not to have a funeral or services. In lieu of flowers, we ask that any donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
