William Bryan Iii

July 22, 1977 — December 28, 2012

William E. Bryan, "Bill" III of Whitman and Naples FL, died in a tragic accident on December 28, 2012.  He was 35.  Bill was a lifelong resident of Whitman and a 1995 graduate of Whitman-Hanson High School and a 1999 graduate of Stonehill College.  He was currently attending Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL, and was scheduled to graduate in May.  Bill worked several summers as a seasonal Park Ranger for the Dept. of Conservation and Recreation on the Boston Harbor Islands before attending law school.  He loved being a ranger and giving interpretive tours as a Union soldier guarding Confederate prisoners or as a Confederate Officer of Mosby's Rangers imprisoned at Fort Warren on George's Island. He loved sports, history and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his mother Jane Bent (Doyle) Bryan and the late Milton Police Lieutenant William E. Bryan, JR., of Whitman, his loving sisters Kathleen Bryan and her fiancé Adam Gillis of Pembroke and Kimberly Driscoll and her husband Dennis of Abington. Uncle of Hannah, Ava, Nolan, James, and Nora. Grandson of Eleanor Bryan of E. Sandwich.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visiting hours in the MacKinnon Funeral Home, 760 Washington St., Whitman on Thursday Jan. 3rd  4-8pm.

Funeral Mass Friday in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at  10 am. Relatives and friends invited to attend.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in William's memory to a charity of your choice.
